Professional field of interest: Wide experience in general pediatrics. Special interest and education for pediatric cardiology. Duties have included work at Cardiac ward and in catheterization and echo laboratories. Special training and interest in echocardiography. Master of Science thesis was in the domain of contrast echocardiography. Ph.D. thesis: Haemodynamic Quantification of Ventricular Septal Defect by Doppler Echocardiography.
Twenty five years of experience in prenatal diagnosis of congenital heart disease (introduced fetal echocardiography in Yugoslav medical practice, and established Department of Fetal cardiology at University children’s hospital). Training in pediatric cardiology included specialization in echocardiography at Cardiology Division - UCLA, Los Angeles. Advanced Course of Pediatric Cardiology at Cambridge, England and a few short specializations at the Hospital for Sick Children in London. Visiting Scholar at section of Cardiology Regional Hospital of Trondheim, Norway and Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland.
Research fields of interest: Research interest included noninvasive haemodynamic quantification of congenital heart diseases by Doppler echocardiography, Fetal echocardiography, Doppler Tissue Imaging and 3D Echocardiography, Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
