Focus and Scope

The Laboratory of Pedagogical Research and Applications of the Department of Preschool Education of the University of Crete is pleased to announce the launch of the online open-access journal Preschool & Primary Education. The journal aims to contribute to the development of scientific dialogue and the dissemination of scientific knowledge produced in the international field of preschool and primary education. The journal will publish original research that meets the high standards of scholarly and practical significance as well as issues of interest in preschool and school development, theory and educational practice.

There are no submission charges and APCs charges.

We state our commitment to quality and peer-reviewed open access process of all papers.

Preschool & Primary Education is an open access journal. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial License (Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0)) that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

Ethics statement
The editorial team of the "Preschool and Primary Education"  is committed to ensuring transparent editorial processes. Practices implying misconduct or compromising the journal's standards, whether on the part of authors or journal associates, will be reported and properly treated.

Peer Review Process

At PRESCHOOL & PRIMARY EDUCATION we use the double-blind review process. The reviewers' names are not revealed to the author(s) of the paper, and likewise we do not reveal the identity of the author(s). We believe that this procedure facilitates independent and fair assessment of all papers.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public contributes to global knowledge exchange. We encourage authors to deposit their articles, as well as data underlying the publications, in institutional and/or other appropriate subject repositories.
