Author Biography
Aphrodite Teperoglou

Born in Athens. Doctor of Political Science at Gratz University, Austria. Her doctoral thesis, under the supervision of Professors Burghardt and Ibler, had the title: The Dowry as a Contemporary Sociopolitical Phenomenon. Attended seminars on the subjects of international organizations, at Geneva University, and public relations, at Aachen. Collaborated with the Centre for Social Research at Louvain University, Belgium. Received a scholarship from the Danish Government (Ministry of Education). Collaborated with the Institute of Social Research and the Statistical Service of Denmark; and ίυ the region of Scandinavia generally. Has participated ίn international sociological congresses. HHas published articles in encyclopaedias and scientific journals. Member of the International Scientific Commission of the Famίly (ICOFA) and the International Sociological Association (ISA) in the Family Sociology section. She is a Research Associate at the National Centre of Social Research of Greece.
