Περίληψη

Το άρθρο αποτελεί μια απόπειρα ανάλυσης του εγκλωβισμού των μεταναστών στα χαμηλού κύ- ρους επαγγέλματα. Αυτό γίνεται μέσα από την εξέταση των συνεπειών της εσωτερικής οικιακής εργασίας των Ουκρανών μεταναστριών που ερ- γάζονται ως υπηρέτριες στην Αθήνα. Η μελέτη χρησιμοποιεί μια Μαρξοβεμπεριανή προσέγγιση που εστιάζει τόσο στις συνθήκες όσο και στις αντι- λήψεις γύρω από την εργασία. Υποστηρίζεται πως οι συγκινησιακές απαιτήσεις της οικιακής εργασί- ας οδηγούν τις μετανάστριες στο να ερμηνεύουν τα καθήκοντά τους ως προέκταση οικογενειακών σχέσεων και υποχρεώσεων. Αυτές οι σχέσεις απα- σχόλησης ορίζονται ως ‘ψευδο-οικογενειακές’ και αποτελούν τη βάση της υποτακτικότητας στην οικι- ακή εργασία. Σε συνδυασμό με τα δομικά εμπόδια στην αγορά εργασίας, η υποτακτικότητα αποτελεί υποκειμενικό στοιχείο του εγκλωβισμού των μετα- ναστριών στο επάγγελμά τους
