Joseph Bringas. Problèmes prosopographiques et courants idéologiques
Dans cette étude, l'auteur s'efforce de tracer le véritable portrait de l'eunuque Joseph Bringas, qui fut le gouverneur défait de l'état byzantin de 959 à 963, à travers les écrits contemporains, la sigillographie, les chronographes etc. Joseph Bringas, comme représentant du gouvernement central, était un adversaire acharné de Nicéphore Phokas, chef de file de la grande aristocratie rurale. L'étude propose aussi diverses solutions prosopographiques à propos des principaux antagonistes des conflits de cette époque.
