Un sceau de plomb d'Alexis 1er Grand Comnène
L'auteur édite un sceau de plomb qui appartenait à Alexis Comnène. Le sceau représente d'un côté le propriétaire, en tenue militaire, à côté de saint Georges et de l'autre, la résurrection. Le propriétaire est identifié au fondateur de l'État de Trébizonde Alexis 1er Grand Comnène, sur la base des faits formels ainsi que sur les conceptions (idéologie de la résurrection), qui prévalaient auprès des Grecs à l'époque de la domination de Constantinople par les Croisés.
