Le curateur de Mantzikert et de l'Ibérie Intérieure et la politique orientale de Basile II
Se fondant sur l'indiscutable crédibilité des informations provenant des deux sceaux du curateur royal Michel Kataphlôron (DO 58. 106. 5502 et M-6733), l'auteur réexamine les sources narratives byzantines en les confrontant avec les récits des chroniqueurs arméniens et aboutit à des propositions nouvelles concernant 1) le type correct du nom Mantzikert et la région administrative qu'il représentait 2) le contenu géographique et administratif de l'Ibérie Intérieure et 3) l'étendue de la juridiction de ce fonctionnaire et ses compétences.
