About the Journal

Comparative and International Education review is a biannual journal of the Greek Comparative and International Education Society and the Laboratory of Experimental Pedagogy of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The journal publishes original papers (in Greek and in English), which present and analyze critically and comparatively contemporary educational issues, policies and trends in Europe and the world. Thus, it welcomes papers which contribute to the understanding and interpretation of educational phenomena and their relationships with the social, economic, political and cultural context. Comparative and International Education Review encourages researchers to submit papers of multiple theoretical backgrounds and methodological tools, concerning especially comparative analysis and international trends in education.

Comparative and International Education Review is addressed to education professionals, students, academics and policy makers who are interested in studying, analyzing and understanding current educational trends in Greece and internationally. The journal aims at contributing to the formation of a more accurate understanding of educational policy issues as well as of the political, social, economic and cultural factors that shape them. Therefore academic and research papers concerning all forms of education (formal, non formal and informal), all levels of education (from early childhood education to university level and adult education), curricula, lifelong learning, education management and economics, and teacher education and professional development are especially welcomed.
