  1. Preparation Checklist of Submission

During the submitting procedure of the articles on the journal/conference the authors have been asked to confirm that the submission agrees with the following criteria. Incompatible submissions may be rejected.

  • This article is an original work, has not been published previously and has not been submitted for evaluation and publication elsewhere, in print or electronic form.
  • Αs far as I know, the article does not defame any person, does not invade any person's privacy and does not in any way violate any other human rights.
  • The article does not offend in any way the copyrights of third parties. In any part of the article that the permission is necessary for the reproduction, I have requested and received permission from the creator(s) and/or beneficiary(ies).
  • I accept the journal's policy about copyright. The article has been written in accordance to the journal's instructions for the authors.
  • I entirely maintain the copyrights of the article and in general any intellectual property rights, that are not expressly transferred in this agreement.
  1. Instructions for the Authors

Assumptions:

  1. The subject of the articles has to respond to the scientific interests of the journal.
  2. To be original.
  3. It must not have been submitted for review at the same time to other scientific journals.
  4. The main text, the footnotes and the references must be written in accordance to the following instructions.

Extent:

The length of articles should be between 3,500 and 7,000 words including references.

Publication languages:

The digital journal “The historical event” publishes articles in Greek (modern Greek) or English. Each article must be accompanied by a summary (100-150 words) in English (if the main text is in Greek). Otherwise, if the article is in English, summary must be in Greek. Furthermore, except from the summary, the articles should be accompanied by 5 keywords (concepts that used in the paper).

 

Formatting:

  • The articles will be submitted in word (.doc, .docx) format.
  • The title of the article have to be in bold and not exceed 15 words.
  • There should be no indentation at the beginning of each paragraph.
  • The acceptable main text font is Times New Roman (size 12).
  • Single line spacing and three-centimeter limits on all sides.
  • The acceptable reference font is Times New Roman (size 9).
  • The acceptable referral system is APA referral system, for example (. If there is more than one source in a citation, they can be listed either in alphabetical order or in chronological order, in a systematic manner, throughout the article.
  • Figures and tables are submitted in separate files, with their post in the text noted. Digital files should be in .tiff or Jpeg format. The names of files should include the author's last name in Latin characters and the image serial number (e.g. Bozikis_1.tiff). If permissions are needed to publish specific images, in ordered to the applicable copyright legislation, authors are required to involve the relevant licenses, copies of which must be sent along with the images.
  • In case of using references from other works that exceed 3 lines, they should be written separately, in italics, with larger spaces on the right and left than the regular text, and with full reference to the source. For shorter quotations are written in upright form within the text within quotation marks.
  • If the author considers it necessary to use notes, then they should be placed in the footnotes and not at the end of the text.

EKT’s ePublishing services (http://epublishing.ekt.gr/) are directed to public and extended public institution publishers of accredited scholarly journals. They include, most significantly, the organization, documentation and organized dissemination of metadata and content of scholarly journals, the training and consulting services on issues such as intellectual property, the standardization of editorial processes according to internationally accepted standards, the inclusion of content and metadata in international content indexers and harvesters via interoperable systems.
