Abstract

The study case of Paleochori Veroia, which goes back to the issue of the illegal acts of the non-exchangeable privately owned muslim lands in the interwar period, is the main axis of the epistolary discourse between the legal and political of the Venizelian part, with multifaceted action in the completion of the national territorial integration, Harisios Vamvakas and his client, muslim Maria Serkei Urusov, who was converted to christianity, heiress and wife of Russian emigre living in Paris. According to Altman the speech of the letter is a special textual genre where the ego is in a close continuous relationship also with the present and the future. The specific epistolary discourse, located inside history and delivered by the influential politician and becomes a privileged field of expression of the scientific branch of politics as well as the existence of volitional and emotional elements. As social liberalism demands to ground property rights on the basis of moral responsibility, countless small moments of the interwar period emerge, pushing its contingency towards a new wavering world that reasserts its totality through language.
