New issue published

2018-01-29

A new issue of Historein has been published and is available in open access.

The new issue is devoted to the theme of Brazilian historiography. As the global community of the history of historiography was formed to meet the need to study the dialogue between national historiographies and international debates or trends of historiography, from this perspective the study of Brazilian historiography can offer new and fresh approaches on the writing of history as a disputed practice characterised by the debates about the forms and utility of historical knowledge.
Historein focuses on questions concerning the production of historical knowledge and historicity, historical culture, public history and historiography. It welcomes articles that enrich and deepen debates currently evolving around issues of class, gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion and generation, and the impact that various conceptualisations have had on the establishing of collective formations and subjectivities.
