Author Biography
Nicholas Doumanis, University of New South Wales
I teach world history in the School of Humanities and Languages at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. I am an Associate Professor, which is equivalent to Profesor in the United States. I have published Myth and Memory in the Mediterranean (Macmillan, 1997), Italy (Oxford, 2001), A History of Greece (Palgrave, 2009), Before the Nation (Oxford, 2013) and most recently I edited The Oxford Handbook of European History 1914-1945 (Oxford, 2016). I am working on a long diachronic study of the eastern Mediterranean, co-authoring a new history of modern Greece with Professor Antonis Liakos, and managing the creation of a Greek Australian Historical Archive with the State Library of New South Wales.
