About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Peri Historias is a biannual peer-reviewed journal that welcomes original contributions in Modern Greek scholarship, especially in the fields of history, archaeology, and the humanities. Particular attention is paid to themes of Ionian history and culture. Submissions may be in Greek or other major European language. Submissions (in the form of articles, critical studies and short notes) must be original and abide by the internationally established academic standards. The editorial process follows the internationally established ethics rules that concern transparency; integrity; and protection of copyrights of authors.
Peer Review Process
The journal uses a double-blind model of peer review. The editors collect, and assess the submissions in the light of the reports of two peer-reviewers, who are selected ad hoc on the basis of their pertinency with the reviewed submission. They may also submit comments to the authors, and suggest improvements and changes in the submissions. The Editors’ Board manages along with the administrative Council and supervises the publishing process of the journal.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
