Abstract

This work aims to determine the methodology for transferring the Stop motion animation technique with a plasticine doll to the 3D computer studio of Blender. An important role in this process is played by the technique of Photogrammetry through which the character and environments are digitized. To achieve the above purpose, a case study of the use of Photogrammetry, the first in Greece, was utilized in the 3D animation film "Open Wings". The methodology, quality parameters and advantages were identified both in terms of transferring the digitized characters to the 3D computer studio for animation and for the creation of the sets.
