GIF ANIMATION “AN ART EDUCATION PROGRAM”

Resumen

This paper proposes an educational program in the field of artistic education, aimed at presenting and integrating new methods that utilize modern technologies in the visual arts, within the framework of formal education. Specifically, the paper analyzes the artistic and pedagogical aspects of "Gif animation," a particularly popular form of animation, as well as the possibility of its integration into secondary education. The proposed program was implemented at the 9th Vocational High school of Patras, in the field of Applied Arts, with a specialization in Art Conservation, during the 2022-2023 school year.

Konstantinos Tiligadis , Ionian University

Konstantinos Tiligadis studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts. He was awarded a scholarship by the IKY (State Scholarships Foundation) to study at the Seville Academy of Fine Arts. From 2000 to 2003, he pursued postgraduate studies in the Interdepartmental Program "Digital Forms of Art" at the Athens School of Fine Arts. His works have been selected for thematic exhibitions by curators for presentation in selected venues and art festivals with jurors. He received the International First Prize in 2004 for "Olympic Truce Through Painting" in Damascus, Syria. His works are part of private collections and museums in Greece and abroad. Since 2007, he has collaborated with the internationally renowned Animation Festival 'Anima Syros' and is a founding member of ASIFA Hellas, the organization for Greek Animation. In 2019, he became the Artistic Director of the International Animation Festival 'ICONA' in Corfu. He has participated in several scientific conference proceedings with presentations. He has taught at several universities in Greece. He is the Deputy Director of the Interactive Arts Research Laboratory - In.Arts. Currently, he is the Deputy Head of the Department of Sound and Image Arts and the Director of the Master’s Program in "Audiovisual Arts in the Digital Age" at the Ionian University.

Andreas Aristotelis Rizopoulos

Andreas Aristotle Rizopoulos, born in 1970, lives and works in Patras and is the Director of the 9th Evening Vocational High School of Patras. He studied Mechanical Engineering and has completed postgraduate studies in “Curriculum and Teaching” at Frederick University in Cyprus and in “Leadership and Management in School Administration” at Roma Tre University in Italy. He served as the Promoter of European Lifelong Learning Programs at the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Western Greece from 2009 to 2014. He has extensive experience and expertise in the implementation and organization of Erasmus+ programs, from 2002 to the present. He is a certified Adult Educator.
