Abstract
Best practice examples in terms of worker participation are scarce in the Greek context. Over the past decade though the EU has given an impetus to worker participation; therefore, the introduction of participative structures and practices in European Company (EC) could be transferred in the Greek industrial relations system. The paper examines the extent at which the relevant EC Directive could
strengthen the dynamics of employee involvement, improve labour-management relations in Greece and disseminate participation in workplaces other than the subsidiaries of ECs. In addition, it examines the determining factors of such development
