Author Biography
Andrzej Sicinski

Dr. Andrzej Siciήski, sociologist, is an assistant professor (Decent) at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, where he is a head of Department for Lifestyles Studies. He got the Μ. Α. and Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Warsaw, and also a degree of a Civil engineer from the Warsaw Politechnical Institute. His research work is in general sociology, sociology of culture and mass medias, methodology. He has also contributed to future research. He is a member of Executive Committee of the World Future Studies Federation. Since 1970 he has developed theoretical and empirical studies on styles-ways of life (cross-national studies ) and on quality of life. Dr. Sicinski published (as author or editor) fourteen books and also about seventy articles (in Polish and English).
