Demosthenes Savramis, University of Cologne

Demosthenes Savramis was bom in 1925 in Piraeus; 1956 Dr.
Phil. (Bonn); 1960 Dr. rer. poi. (Cologne); 1962 Dr. theol.
(Athens); 1966 Assistant Professor of Sociology in Cologne.
Savramis is Professor of Sociology of Religion and Culture in
the University of Cologne and Visiting Professor of Sociology
of Culture in the University of Bonn. Main publications: Aus

byzantinischen Mönchtums, 1962; Ökumenische Probleme in
der neugriechischen Theologie, 1964; Die soziale Stellung der
