Author Biography
Marina Petronoti

Marina Petronoti is a social anthropologist. She received the
degree Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the Deree College in
Athens (1974). She then completed a post-graduate course in
social anthropology in the University of Kent at Canterbury
(Master of Philosophy. 1980). She has participated in several
programmes of social research conducted by both Greek and
foreign institutions in Athens. She has also prepared and carried 

out fieldwork in the prefectures of Karditsa and Argolida. The
conclusions arrived at from her field studies are presented in a
number of articles which are now under publication.
