Βράδυ - Ορογενετική έκταση στις Ελληνίδες οροσειρές

Περίληψη

Μελετάται η γεωμετρία και κινηματική της βραδυ-ορογενετικής έκτασης των Ελληνίδων κατά τη διάρκεια του Τριτογενούς. Στο Ελληνικό ορογενές αναγνωρίζεται, τόσο ο τύπος της συμμετρικής όσο και της ασύμμετρης βραδυ-ορογενιτικής έκτασης και κατάρρευσης του ορογενούς, που οδηγεί στη σταδιακή άνοδο και αποκάλυψη των πετρωμάτων των βαθύτερων τεκτονικών οριζόντων του φλοιού. Συμμετρική, διτής φοράς κατάρρευση, χωρίς σημαντική αναθέρμανση του φλοιού, έλαβε χώρα στο κρύο πρίσμα επαύξησης (περιοχές Ολύμπου, Οσσας, Πηλίου και Κρήτης). Ασύμμετρη, προς μια κύρια κατεύθυνση κατάρρευση, με σημαντική αναθέρμανση της λιθόσφαιρας, έλαβε χώρα στην περιοχή πίσω από το ορογενιτικό τόξο (περιοχές Ροδόπης και Κυκλάδων). Η Τριτογενής βραδυ-ορογενετική έκταση στις Ελληνίδες, αποτέλεσε μαζύ με τη συνοδό συμπίεση στο μέτωπο κάθε φορά της εκτεινόμενης πλάκας, ένα μεταναστεύον προς ΝΔ δυναμικό σύστημα, που ξεκίνησε από το Ηώκαινο στις εσωτερικές Ελληνίδες και έφθασε το Μειόκαινο στις εξωτερικές Ελληνίδες. Η κατανομή αυτή της γεωμετρίας και κίνησης της βραδυ-ορογενετικής έκτασης στο Ελληνικό ορογενές, θα πρέπει να αποδωθεί στην αλλαγή του ρυθμού σύγκλισης των πλακών της Αφρικής και Ευρασίας κατά τη διάρκεια του Τριτογενούς.
