Περίληψη

Η εργασία αυτή ασχολείται με προβλήματα μηχανικής-γεωλογικής φύσεως των αστικών περιοχών, μεταξύ των οποίων συγκαταλέγονται διεργασίες γεωλογικού κινδύνου όπως πλημμύρες, καθιζήσεις, διαβρώσεις και κινήσεις λόγω βαρύτητας. Στα πλαίσια της έρευνας αναλύονται τόσο οι φυσικές, όσο και οι βιομηχανικές επιδράσεις. Από τη λεπτομερή ιστορική-γεωλογική εξέταση συνάγεται ότι η αστική χωρική ανάπτυξη αποτελεί έναν από τους κύριους παράγοντες τροποποίησης του γεωλογικού περιβάλλοντος.
