Author Guidelines
The journal accepts submissions in English, Greek, French, and Spanish. We encourage interdisciplinary, multidimensional and multilingual dialogue.
The policy brief should be written in Times New Roman 12, line spacing 1.5. Use the available template. Also, you should follow the APA reference style with minor modifications (see the template for more information). The policy brief should:
✔ be around 2.500 words.
✔ include the name and the affiliation(s) of the author(s).
✔ Include up to 7 Keywords.
Your submission should consist of two word documents:
A short bio (max 300 words for each author). Google Scholar Profile and ORCID number should be included for each author, if available.
The word file of your policy brief should be titled as “nameofauthor_hapscpolicybriefs.docx”.
Submission and Review Process
The authors submit their policy briefs to the email: policybriefs@hapsc.org and email subject: "Submission at HAPSc Policy Briefs Series". The journal uses the system of double-blind peer review: Once the submission has been assessed for suitability by the editorial board, it will then be sent to two independent, anonymous expert referees. To limit reviewer bias, submissions are anonymized before being sent out for review. The Editors are responsible for the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of manuscripts. The Editors’ decisions are final.
The evaluation will be based on the following criteria:
⮚ the choice of the topic
⮚ the contribution to the existing knowledge
⮚ the recommendations, policy relevance and their feasibility
⮚ the quality of writing
Plagiarism Detection Policy
Plagiarism (including self-plagiarism) is not allowed. Please note that this journal uses the Turnitin software to detect instances of overlapping and similar text in submitted manuscripts.
Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under Creative Commons 4.0 (CC-BY 4.0) license, that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (preferably in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work.
