Crisis and critical moments of the feminist movement

Abstract

This article discusses the multiple meanings of the term "crisis", especially as far as its relation with feminism is concerned, the latter perceived as a critical stance facing gender power relations materialized in a social movement. Special attention is drawn to the factors that are responsible for the recent crisis within the second wave feminist movement as well as to the various theoretical reactions that these factors have generated and which did not prevent its present decline.
