The strict closure of the Cyprus issue

Λάμπρος Φιλίππου
Abstract
The Cyprus issue is examined on the basis of an all-encompassing “closure” which created and still sustains the political problem. This closure appeared through the parallel development of two communal systems of orientation to the world which where in conflict and also in isolation from the way which alternative systems of analysis understood historical events. As a result, the prospect and process of a solution is linked to the breaking of Cyprus strict closure which requires, among other things, the attainment of a developed and enlarged consciousness.
