Abstract
This paper examines the role of economic policy during the Greek dictatorship 1967-74. It shows that economic policy actually continued and completed the process of rapid industrialization which had begun even before 1967. The Greek dictators tried to speed up the rate of industrial growth by taking measures in favor of foreign capital and of the private sector and by using the agricultural sector as a “complement” to the process of development.
