Ioannis D. Kaftandzoglou (1748-1818) and Konstandinos P. Tattis (1787-1864)
Abstract
The writer seeks to collect all the available data relating to two historic Thessaloniki families, those of Ioannis Kaftandzoglou and Konstandinos Tat tis, and, by comparing and assessing both families together, to trace in detail their descendants to the present day with plentiful biographical and genealogical data gleaned from the sources.
He thus analyses their role in society and their contribution to the national struggles, which was particularly valuable in the nineteenth century.
