Greek hospitals in Thessaloniki during the Turkish domination
Abstract
This article aims to identify the hospitals of the Greek community in Thessaloniki during the Turkish domination. Therefore an attempt is being made to review and re-examine the known sources by taking into account some new information. The research focuses on the urban area between today’s Cathedral of Thessaloniki and the Galerian octagon, an area of great importance to the financial and social activity of the city of Thessaloniki under the Turkish domination.7 8 9
