Σύγχρονες προκλήσεις στην ιστορική εκπαίδευση: Η Τεχνητή Νοημοσύνη και η ιστορική σκέψη.
Περίληψη
The increased use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by the general public over the past two years, along with the development of numerous AI-powered educational tools, has opened a new field of inquiry within the educational sciences. This article explores applications of AI in the teaching of history, with a particular focus on historical thinking in education and, more specifically, on textual intelligence through the use of ChatGPT. The study is structured in three parts: a) theoretical framework, b) educational case studies, and c) discussion and conclusions. The case studies present the use of ChatGPT in primary school history teaching, both from the perspective of educators and that of students. The main conclusions of this study include: a) although there is still limited scholarly literature on the use of AI tools in history education, certain paths for their pedagogical integration can be identified; and b) both advantages and disadvantages of AI in history teaching can be observed, some of which are discussed in the present study.
