CONCERNS - OBJECTIVES - SCOPE

OF THE SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL “TECHNICAL ANNALS” BY THE T.C.G.

The Technical Chamber of Greece (T.C.G.) publishes the Scientific International Open Access, peer-reviewed e-Journal, “Technical Annals.” The T.C.G. edits the journal through the e-Publishing Platform at the EKT (National Documentation Centre) and concerns all the advancements in Engineering:

Referring to interdisciplinary Thematic Areas at the forefront of Research and Innovation like:

 Agricultural Engineering and Food Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Aerodynamics, Bioengineering, Circular Economy, Climate Change, Cultural Heritage, Education and Learning Processes, Energy, Environment, Economy, Geoinformatics, Human Modelling, Industrial Symbiosis, Management, and Quality Control, Material Science and Engineering, Naval Coastal and Maritime Design Engineering and Planning, Spatial Planning, Sustainable Development, Systems and Processes Engineering, Technology, Transportation, Process-es, et al. as dynamically will be defined by the progress of science and engineering, the future trends and social needs as well.

The TCG is aiming through this e publication, of at least 3 volumes per year (April, July and October) to connect Greek Engineers with the International Community of Engineering Science and Innovation for the benefit of the public interest and for the promotion of science through research, development, innovation in compliance with its constitutional targets.

PUBLICATION ETHICS AND MALPRACTICE

Authors agree to abide by the following Publishing Ethics and Malpractice Statement by submitting their work to Technical Annals.


Responsibilities of Authors

1.No plagiarism is permitted; all manuscripts must be the writers' own unique work. Plagiarized manuscripts will be treated with zero tolerance.
2.Only authors who have made noteworthy contributions should be included as authors on a manuscript.
3.Writers are required to give credit where credit is due.
4.Writers must thank those who have donated money to study and identify any financial or other significant conflicts of interest that could affect the conclusions or interpretation of their articles.
5.Writers should be ready to make such data accessible to the public if possible since they may be required to supply the raw data in conjunction with articles for editorial review.
6.All submissions must have never been published before and cannot be accepted for publication anywhere.


Responsibilities of Editor in Chief and Editorial Board Members

1.The editor in -chief or the designated editorial board members are occasionally in charge of determining the length and content of manuscripts submitted to the journal.
2.A double-blind peer review procedure is used by the journal. By refusing to divulge either the names of authors of papers to reviewers or their affiliations, the Editor in Chief and members of the Editorial Board maintain the integrity of the publishing review process or reveal reviewers' names to authors.
3.The Editorial Board members receive all manuscripts in confidence and keep all information about them confidential. They only share it with the corresponding author, reviewers, any additional external referees they occasionally seek, and the publisher.
4.Without the author's express written consent, any editorial board member may not use information given in a submitted manuscript—whether it has been published or not—for their own study.
5.Editors must undertake thorough and impartial investigations into ethical allegations, and they must refrain from taking part if they might have a conflict of interest with the authors at issue.


Responsibility of reviewers

1.Reviewers treat all information about papers as proprietary information and maintain it confidential.
2.Reviewers conduct their reviews objectively, without disparaging the author personally.
3.Reviewers should be explicit in their viewpoints and provide evidence to back them up, as this will help the Editor in Chief or the person chosen by him or her to make an editorial decision.
4.Reviewers should submit their reviews by the deadline specified by the journal.
5.Reviewers ought to refrain from evaluating submissions in which they have ties or relationships with any of the authors, businesses, or organizations associated with the articles that would put them in a conflict of interest.

Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism is regarded as intellectual dishonesty and a breach of journalistic ethics since it involves using someone else's words, ideas, or expressions as one's own.
Self-plagiarism is the act of using a piece of one's own previously published or copyrighted work in new publications.
Plagiarism may result in a copyright violation or legal repercussions.
A software program that detects plagiarism will review every manuscript sent to our journal.

The National Documentation Centre (www.ekt.gr) is a national infrastructure. Since 1980, it actively engages in the collection, organization and dissemination of scientific and technological information in Greece and internationally. EKT’s strategic priority is the aggregation, organized online dissemination and preservation of quality-assured scholarly and educational content in a single research infrastructure.

EKT’s vision is “Access to Knowledge”. To this end it implements Open Access policies in research, supports the transfer and dissemination of scientific knowledge, collaborates with research, education and cultural institutions for the aggregation, organization and dissemination of digital content and provides innovative services in scientific information.

EKT provides reliable ePublishing services as part of its scholarly content aggregation and dissemination activities . Its integrated online ePublishing environment is developed with open-source interoperable technology. This affords the incorporation of EKT’s infrastructures into the continuously developing international infrastructure environment.

EKT’s ePublishing services (http://epublishing.ekt.gr/) are directed to public and extended public institution publishers of accredited scholarly journals. They include, most significantly, the organization, documentation and organized dissemination of metadata and content of scholarly journals, the training and consulting services on issues such as intellectual property, the standardization of editorial processes according to internationally accepted standards, the inclusion of content and metadata in international content indexers and harvesters via interoperable systems.
