Author Biography
Eva E. Sandis, Fordham University

Dr. Eva E. Sandis is Professor of Sociology at Fordham University in
New York City. She received her B.A. degree from Oberlin College,
and her M.A. and Ph. D. degrees from Columbia University. Prof.
Sandis’ area of specialization is the Sociology of Migration. She has
published numerous books and articles dealing with migration trends
and policies, and has served as" research consultant on a variety of
migration-related projects. As a visiting scholar at the National
Center of Social Research, Dr. Sandis conducted a social survey of
the community of Nea Ionia.
