Author Biography
Eva E. Sandis, Fordham University, New York

Dr. Eva E. Sandis is an associate professor of Sociology at
Fordham University, New York, where she was first appointed
in 1961.
She has been a research associate on a National Institute
of Mental Health sponsored drug prevention study; New
Jersey School - Community Survey, Bureau of Applied Social
Research, Columbia University; Human Resources Research
Office, George Washington University, Washington, D.C.
She has also been Research consultant at the Center for
Educational Research, University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras,
Puerto Rico, and public opinion analyst at the Bureau of
Public Affairs, US Department of State, Washington D.C.
She has published several articles and essays in sociological
journals and presented a number of papers at sociological
conventions.
As a senior research associate at the National Centre of Social
Research from January 1971, she directed the Nea Ionia
project, the results of which are expected to be published in
book form by the NCSR during 1973.
