Author Biography
Paschalis M. Kitromilides

Paschalis M. Kitromilides received his B.A. from Wesleyan University
and his M.A. and Ph. D. from Harvard University. He was a Lecturer
on Government at Harvard and a Research Associate at the
Center for European Studies. He has coedited the volumes Small
States in the Modern World: The Conditions of Survival (Nicosia,
1979) with Peter Worsley and Culture and Society in Contemporary
Europe (London, Allen and Unwin, 1981) with Stanley Hoffmann.
Besides many articles in scholarly journals and collective works, he is 

the author of Tradition, Enlightenment and Revolution: Ideological
Change in Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century Greece, Cambridge,
Mass., Harvard University, 1978. He is currenthy a lecturer in the
history of political thought at the University of Athens and director
of the Centre for Asia Minor Studies.
