Litsa Nicolaou-Smokovitis, Boston College, School of Management

Dr Litsa Nicolaou-Smokovitis is a native Greek. She attended public schools in Greece and completed her bachelor's degree with honours at Smith College, Northampton Mass. She received her Master's degree with distinction and her Ph. D. in sociology from the University Boston College. She is a senior staff member of the Board οf Personnel Selection and Development οf the National Bank οf Greece and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the school οf Management οf Boston College. She has conducted research and published several articles and books dealing primarily with sociology οf work, industrial and organizational sociology, organational behavior and the status οf sociology ιη Greece. She is a member οf the International Sociological Association (Research Committees οn the Sociology οf Work and Sociotechnics) and the Αmerican Sociological Association (Section on Organizations and Occupations), and has represented the National Bank οf Greece in international sociological conferences.
