Author Biography
Paul E. Zopf, Guilford College, Greensboro, North Carolina

Paul E. Zopf, Jr. is Charles A. Dana Professor and Chairman
of the Department of Sociology at Guilford College,Greensboro,
North Carolina. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University
of Connecticut and a Master’s degree and a Ph. D. from
the University of Florida (1966). Before teaching at Guilford
College he worked with the experiment stations of the University
of Connecticut and the University of Florida. At Guilford
College since 1959, Paul Zopf also served as Associate Academic
Dean. He is the author or co-author of five books, the
latest being a second edition of Demography : Principles and
Methods, Philadelphia: F.A. Davis Company, 1974, written
with T. Lynn Smith, Graduate Research professor of the University
of Florida. Paul Zopf is now engaged in research on
social systems and on some regional demographic conditions
and implications in North Carolina.
