Author Biography
Andreas I. Psomas, ΕΚΚΕ

Andreas I. Psomas studied at the Univesrity of London,
Columbia, Chicago and Stanford, completing a twin doctoral
(Ph. D.) program in International Relations and in Education
at Stanford. He has served as Research Fellow at Stanford;
Director of International Relations, Ministry of Education,
Republic of Cyprus; and Secretary General of the Cyprus
National Commission for UNESCO. He is currently on loan
to the National Centre for Social Science Research. His academic
interests include Theory of International Relations, International
Organization, the European Common Market and
the interaction among the Social Economic, Political and
Educational systems in international perspective. His current
research interests include the role of the size of «sphere of
action» in human behavior and in international relations; the 

national and supranational state; socialization and development
of values and loyalties. Among his recent publications
are Greece and the Common Market (1970); Modern Greece:
The Nation, the State and the International System (being
published by EKKE); and «The Role of Pedagogical Science
in Building Communism in the Soviet Union» (appearing
in the forthcoming issue of this journal).
