Author Biography
Eleni Mahaira-Odoni, Boston University

After graduating from high school in Athens, she earned Fulbright
and Wien International scholarships to study at Brandeis
University, Waltham, Massachusetts. In June 1966 she
earned a B.A. degree in politics from Brandeis and in September
1968 she was awarded an M.A. degree in political science
from Northeastern University, Boston. Subsequently she enrolled
in the doctoral program of the Boston University department
of political science and received her Ph. D. in January
1975 in the areas of political theory and philosophy. Since
then she has been occupied primarily with further research and
writing in her field.While an M.A. candidate, Ms.Mahaira-Odoni
has taught as a teaching assistant at Northeastern University
from 1966 to 1968. She was also a research assistant
at Boston University’s Metropolitan College (Urban Studies
Program) in 1969-1970.
