Entertainment was tremendously changed in the last two centuries by the invention of new technologies. While the newspaper, radio, and television dominated the longest part of the 20th century, the Internet has provided totally new possibilities to entertain. However, there are factors and images related to entertainment that did not change even though the medium itself was transformed. The interdisciplinary journal Entertainment tries to bring together scholars from all areas attached to media studies to document the above named developments and changes.
