Abstract

It is well known that the tourism industry and tourism education are two inextricably linked concepts. One significantly influences the other, as the quality of services provided in a tourism establishment is largely determined by the education of its staff, and particularly its senior management. The purpose of this article is to study the current situation and the educational level of the senior executives in hotel units on the island of Rhodes. To conduct this study, a questionnaire method was used, which was sent electronically to all hotel managers on the island of Rhodes. Through carrying out the reaserch, we recorded the existing educational level of senior executives, enabling us to identify gaps and provide recommendations for optimization.
