Some principles of canary breeds and rearing
Abstract
In this article, some data concerning canary breeds and rearing, are being presented. In particular, these birds' origin taxonomy and their external morphology are initially mentioned, followed (moreover) by an attempt to classify these breeds in three groups, according to the pattern of their song, the colour of their plumage and the size and shape of their body. The article concludes with information on canary reproduction and nutrition (nutrient requirements and modes of feeding).
