About the Journal
I. Focus and Scope:
The scientific journal Mos Historicus: A Critical Review of European History in order to better expand and develop the field of European History, aspires to function both as a medium of showcasing European historians’ research and as a medium of discourse and intellectual exchange.
The articles published in Mos Historicus will expose new scientific perspectives on the subject of each issue, constricted to the study of European history from Late Antiquity to the Modern period and geographically integrated in the European area, apart from the Balkans, while comparative and/or global history approaches with reference to Europe shall also be accepted.
Furthermore, the journal will also contain reviews of recently published monographies and collective works that appertain to the context of the journal and its issue. The Editorial Committee will determine the subject of each issue and the articles accepted and published. The membership of the Editorial Committee will be updated in order to allow a greater number of historians, specialised in different fields, to contribute to each new issue.
II. Article Form
Mos Historicus will accept research articles, which are based on primary sources and pertain to original or less examined subjects. Moreover, it will accept articles based exclusively, primarily or partially on bibliography. The article writers must approach their chosen subject from a new, novel and critical viewpoint.
Articles may be submitted by researchers of European History, who are at least undertaking a respective or related postgraduate degree programme.
Any article in Mos Historicus has to be of interest and fully accessible to the non-specialist as well as the specialist reader, while retaining their scientific approach.
III. Peer Review Process:
All submitted articles and papers will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee in accordance with the blind review method.
IV. Publication Frequency
The e-journal Mos Historicus: A Critical Review of European History is published annually.

This affords the incorporation of EKT’s infrastructures into the continuously developing international infrastructure environment.
EKT’s ePublishing services (http://epublishing.ekt.gr/) are directed to public and extended public institution publishers of accredited scholarly journals. They include, most significantly, the organization, documentation and organized dissemination of metadata and content of scholarly journals, the training and consulting services on issues such as intellectual property, the standardization of editorial processes according to internationally accepted standards, the inclusion of content and metadata in international content indexers and harvesters via interoperable systems.
