Περίληψη

Αντικείμενο του παρόντος άρθρου αποτελούν τα οδωνυμικά ως αναπαραστάσεις της συλλογικής μνήμης, καθώς και οι διαφοροποιήσεις τους ανάλογα με τα πολιτικά και ιδεολογικά συμφραζόμενα. Η ονοματοθεσία δρόμων και μνημείων αποτελεί μια πολιτισμική πρακτική η οποία κανονικοποιεί την εγκεκριμένη εκδοχή της ιστορίας στο αστικό κείμενο και αναδεικνύει την πόλη σε χώρο δημόσιας μνήμης η οποία διαμορφώνεται από τις πολιτικές ατζέντες των ελίτ. Ειδικότερα, κατά τη διάρκεια περιόδων κοινωνικο-οικονομικών και γεωπολιτικών μετασχηματισμών, όταν αλλάζουν οι μνημονικές προτεραιότητες, τα οδωνυμικά αποτελούν ένα πολιτικό εργαλείο προώθησης και νομιμοποίησης του νέου πολιτικού και ιδεολογικού συστήματος. Η παρούσα μελέτη επιχειρεί να περιγράψει τις οδωνυμικές μεταλλάξεις ως εκδήλωση του επαναπροσδιορισμού της σχέσης δημόσιου χώρου και ιστορίας στο πλαίσιο της διαδικασίας μετάβασης από τον σοσιαλισμό στους μετασοσιαλιστικούς σχηματισμούς. Για αυτό τον σκοπό μελετώνται οι περιπτώσεις έξι πόλεων (της Ουγγαρίας, της Πολωνίας, της Ρουμανίας και της πρώην Σοβιετικής Ένωσης), ώστε να αναδειχθεί η αφαίρεση του σοσιαλιστικού παρελθόντος από το αστικό κείμενο μέσω της διαδικασίας οδωνυμικής μετάλλαξης, λόγω της απόρριψής του από τη νέα ιδεολογικo-πολιτική πραγματικότητα, και η αντικατάστασή του από νέα οδωνυμικά με αναφορά κυρίως στην προσοσιαλιστική περίοδο.
