Tahar Bekri, Paris Nanterre University
TaharBekri is an acclaimed poet and critic. He was Professor of Arabic literature at Paris Nanterre University until his retirement. Born in Tunisia, he has been living in Paris since 1976 and has published poetry, criticism and art books in Arabic and French. His major subjects are wandering and exile, inner experience and memory, tradition and modernity. His work been translated into several languages. Recent publications include Salam Gaza (Tunis, Elyzad, 2010) Je te nomme Tunisie (Al Manar 2011).
