Ηθικά ζητήματα στη λήψη αποφάσεων, την ανάπτυξη και τη λειτουργία βιοτραπεζών στην Ελλάδα

Résumé

Οι βιοτράπεζες αποτελούν μια κρίσιμη υποδομή για την ανάπτυξη της βιοϊατρικής έρευνας τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες. Σε αυτό το άρθρο επιχειρούμε την εξέταση των ηθικών ζητημάτων που συνδέονται με τη λειτουργία τους με ένα διττό τρόπο. Στο πρώτο μέρος, παρουσιάζουμε τα ηθικά ζητήματα γύρω από την ανάπτυξη και λειτουργία των βιοτραπεζών εξετάζοντας τη σχετική βιβλιογραφία. Εν συνεχεία, εξετάζουμε την πραγμάτευση των ηθικών ζητημάτων σε κανονιστικά κείμενα, και ειδικότερα στην πρόσφατη γνώμη της Ελληνικής Εθνικής Επιτροπής Βιοηθικής και Τεχνοηθικής καθώς και στην γνώμη της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής για Ζητήματα Ηθικής και Δεοντολογίας των Νέων Τεχνολογιών. Στο δεύτερο μέρος, στρέφουμε την προσοχή μας στις θέσεις των ίδιων των εμπλεκόμενων επαγγελματιών σε βιοτράπεζες στην Ελλάδα. Μέσα από μια εμπειρική μελέτη της λειτουργίας των βιοτραπεζών στην Ελλάδα, εστιάζουμε στις εμπειρίες και τις απόψεις των επαγγελματιών του κλάδου σχετικά με τα ηθικά και κανονιστικά ζητήματα που αντιμετωπίζουν στην καθημερινή πρακτική τους. Η μελέτη μας βασίζεται σε αρχειακό υλικό και σε συνεντεύξεις με επαγγελματίες σε ελληνικές βιοτράπεζες. Με αυτόν τον τρόπο, αναδεικνύουμε τις δικές τους θέσεις ως ενδιαφερόμενα μέρη στη σχετική συζήτηση. Υποστηρίζουμε ότι η προσέγγιση αυτή είναι σημαντική προκειμένου να δοθεί προσοχή τα ηθικά ζητήματα που αντιμετωπίζουν οι επαγγελματίες των βιοτραπεζών, τα οποία συχνά παραμελούνται στις σχετικές συζητήσεις.
