Le patriarche oecuménique Konstantios I et Manuel Gédéon
Abstract
Constantinople a constitue l'espace de rencontre intellectuelle et culturelle de deux erudits illustres tels que le patriarche oecumenique Konstantios et Manuel Gedeon. En depit des elements rationnels et seculiers que nous pouvons reperer dans la pensee de Konstantios. son attitude intellectuelle coincide en general avec celle des cercles phanariotes qui adopterent une attitude d’eclaircissement modere et ex alto, sans concessions vis-a-vis des revendications radicales. Ainsi, le patriarche Konstantios semble etre en ligne avec Gedeon en ce qui concerne le repere de la modernite des ses idees. Les traditions authentiques de l'Eglise orthodoxe, ainsi que la constance d'Ellememe et de ses ouailles constituant la pierre de touche. Ce qui nous interesse a priori ici consiste au soin, a l'ingeniosite, et a la prudence des connaisseurs de Constantinople desdits en ce qui concerne l'utilite des elements et des preuves, qui approvisionnent le besoin pour la comprehension du passe.
