Abstract

The aim of the article is to comparatively present the propaganda campaigns of the two adversaries of the Greek Civil War within the context of their efforts to win the war. Drawing from newspapers of the time, both the commonalities and differences in the communication strategies of the opposing sides are depicted. Each propaganda employs shared and undisputed values as the foundation to build its argument. The values utilized by the two propagandas during the Civil War were primarily based on interwar values, a period during which the nation emerged as a predominant value. Hence, the similarities in the propagandists' arguments appear to outweigh the differences.
