Tekmeria

The journal Tekmeria publishes scholarly articles pertaining to the study of the ancient Greek world from the Archaic to the Roman period. We particularly welcome submissions involving the publication, republication or exploitation of epigraphic and numismatic materials or the analysis of material culture, as well as contributions which attempt to integrate diverse forms of evidence (epigraphic, numismatic, literary, archaeological or topographic) in order to illuminate broader historical, social, or economic questions. The journal does not publish book reviews.

Ioannis Touloumakos

With great sadness we announce the death of Ioannis Touloumakos, Emeritus Professor of Ancient History at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, on whose initiative Tekmeria was founded in 1995.

His scholarship, in synthetic works and specialised studies alike, was devoted above all to the social and political history of the ancient world.

The Editorial Board of Tekmeria and the Department of Greek and Roman History of the Institute of Historical Research extend their condolences to his family, his students, and his colleagues.
