Abstract

Digital tutoring centers represent a form of supplementary distance learning designed to provide additional instructional support for students of all ages who require assistance in fully understanding their coursework. In recent years, educational videos have been the dominant means of presenting the educational material. Following our country's Ministry of Education's announcement regarding establishing a Digital Tutoring Center, which will offer educational material consisting of short-duration videos, we conducted a relevant study to identify similar examples from Greece and abroad. A total of 22 cases of online support/enhancement teaching using videos were identified. This article presents those cases that demonstrate some form of innovation compared to the others. At the end of the article, we provide our perspective on what an effective online platform for support/enhancement teaching should include in terms of educational content and features.
