Abstract

This article aims to investigate the educational film entitled "Life without addiction" created in the context of the postgraduate course "Education Sciences Education with the Use of New Technologies". The film is a documentary concerning drugs and prevention, whereas the creation of educational activities is set as a further goal of the paper. The educational activities are designed to stimulate the students’ interest and comprehension of the subject matter of the documentary as well as develop their critical thinking. The educational design of the film, its production process, the participants, the means of production and processing, any problems that arose and were encountered in the production will also be presented in the article. Under unprecedented and adverse conditions, with our computer as a main tool, we managed to create an educational film on addictions. In the first part, the film activates the viewer through the narrative regarding the history of drug use in Greece and in the second through the interviews in of a questions and answers form. The essence of the documentary is to ponder, to stimulate curiosity, to provoke discussion and it is up to the teacher to use it to raise greater concerns and deeper communication among the students as the film also highlights many more issues such as the family involvement.
