We are glad to announce that the article with the title: Grotesque Metamorphoses and Creative Practices in Jan Svankmajer  by Irida Zhonga, published in 2021 issue, won  the Honorable Mention in the Maureen Furniss Awards 2021 for the Best Student Papers on Animation Media, conferred by the Society for Animation Studies.

We inform you that the period of technical upgrade of the platform that hosts the journal AFIMEC has ended. We are glad to inform you that it is open and acepts your submissions. Submissions for the April 2022 issue are due till March 2022.

Authors, who are interested in submitting an article and wish to have a predefined content template form to write in, they can send a request mail in the following e-mail address: ltrivella@uniwa.gr, in order to receive one and use it.
