Abstract
In 2007 the Modern Greek Architectural Archive was given a series of 14 period photographs, depicting student projects by trainee architects at the Athens School of Arts, the forerunner of the National Technical University of Athens. The photographs were found among the effects of the Tiniot architect Paraskevas (Paraschos) Markos Kardamitsis, a graduate of the School of Arts (1884).  They relate to houses (town-houses, mansions), a school building, an open-air theatre and a building which could be either a museum or a college. Some of them bear the name of the students I. B. Saliveros and ... Foskolos, as well as the name of a teacher, I. Kolliniatis. The rest either have no name or an illegible one.As there is no organized archive relating to the courses at the School of Arts, this material is perhaps the only evidence which can help us, if not positively to know, at least to piece together some idea of the sort of structures the students were working on in the mid 1880s and of the level of complexity involved.
